REBECCA LOUISE (flower martial) LAW

I WAS DOING MY USUAL INTERNET STALK SESSION AND I CAME ACROSS/FELL IN LOVE WITH REBECCA LOUISE LAW'S FLORAL INSTALLATION MASTERPIECES.  SHE SPEAKS TO THE FRILLY TUTU AND STILETTOS WEARING BITCH WITHIN ME, THIS IS TRULY HER ELEMENT.  I MEAN THERE IS REALLY NOTHING MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN A FLOWER IN ANY STATE, BUT WHEN YOUR VISUAL AND OLFACTORY SENSES ARE OVERLOADED BY ONE OF HER STELLAR FLORAL EXPERIENCES, I'M SURE YOU JUST AUTOMATICALLY FEEL ROYAL AS SHIT.

SOAK IN SOME IMAGES OF HER WORK AND PLEASE CHECK OUT THE VIDEO OF WHAT IT TAKES TO BUILD SUCH GRAND INSTALLATIONS, BE INSPIRED PEOPLE.

NOW THIS IS AN ALRIGHT 19TH CENTURY WHITE DUDE.

I REMEMBER BEING DRAWN TO HIS WORK IN SCHOOL AND SAW SOME OF HIS SCULPTURES IN PARIS AT THE MUSEE D'ORSAY AND AM SO EXCITED TO SPLASH HIS WORK ALL OVER THE BLOG! CHARLES-HENRY-JOSEPH CORDIER
(pictured above) WAS A ETHNOGRAPHIC SCULPTOR AND HIS WORK, WHILE WILDLY UNDER THE RADAR STATESIDE, IS AND WAS CELEBRATED AS A BEAUTIFUL RENDITION OF "THE OTHER" LENDING A GLIMPSE OF THE BEAUTY IN PEOPLE THAT EXISTED OUTSIDE OF THE EUROPEAN REALM.

THE QUALITY OF THE MATERIAL USED TO  BUILD HIS WORK, LENT TO HIS REVERANCE FOR CULTURES NOT HIS OWN. IN HIS UNPUBLISHED MEMOIRS, CORDIER REMARKED,  "MY ART INCORPORATED THE REALITY OF A WHOLE NEW SUBJECT, THE REVOLT AGAINST SLAVERY AND THE BIRTH ON ANTHROPOLOGY." CHECK OUT SOME IMAGES OF HIS WORK, AND MAYBE BUY YOU ONE.
